Privacy Policy

This policies applies to all information collected when using ssh-git's website and desktop application. By using any of its services, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Summary:

  • App does not stores any personal information related to Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab accounts. Access tokens, SSH keys, SSH key's passphrase, etc. any data during the SSH key setup flow is not stored anywhere in the app or on our servers.
  • App only asks for authorizing Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab during SSH key setup flow to fetch personal information like email and username of your account and never uses it for any other purpose. You can even revoke app access from Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab if you prefer to do so later on.
  • App and Website uses Google Analytics to collect statistical information and some usage information. No personal information is collected in the process.
  • We collect anonymous crash reports in App through Sentry. This makes it easier for us to troubleshoot problems and improve the app. Any personal sensitive information like your Github/Bitbucket/Gitlab's username, ssh key, ssh key's passphrase, etc. is not collected in the data of crash reports.

Information Collected:

We only collect app and website usage anonymously using Google Analytics to gather statistical information and usage patterns. Google Analytics is a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc., which uses cookies to help. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the Website (such as your IP address, the URL visited, the date and time the page was viewed) will be transmitted and stored by Google on servers in the United States or any other country in which Google maintains facilities. Your IP address will be masked by setting the last octet of your IP address to zero before it is stored by Google. Google will use this information to monitor your use of our website, and to compile reports on website activity for us. Google is not allowed to use this information for their own purposes and may only transfer this information to third parties where required by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.

We capture crash reports in App through Sentry. We use it to troubleshoot problems and improve app quality. Every piece of data collected is anonymous and not associated with any of your personal information. Infact, we never collect and store any personal information like your Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab's username and email, SSH keys, SSH keys passphrases, etc. in app and on our servers.

We use the information we collect to operate and improve our website and application. We do not share any information with outside parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post those changes on this page.
